IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SPONSORS:
Sponsor letter for Baptism and Confirmation
To obtain a letter of eligibility from the Parish of St. Cecilia, you need to do the following:
- You must be a registered, actively participating member of a Roman Catholic Parish for at least 6 months.
- You must be 16 years of age and older.
- You must have celebrated Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation in the Church.
- Your marriage (if married) must have been celebrated in accordance with the sacramental norms and canon law of the Church, i.e. you must be married in the Roman Catholic Church, not just a civil marriage.
- You must be living out your faith through regular participation at the Sunday Eucharist, living a life in accord with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, especially in regards to faith, morals, and charity.
- These requirements are the law of the Church and must be fulfilled by the Godparent. The Godparent must have the proper eligibility form filled out and signed by their parish priest.
- Please note that having made all the Sacraments at St. Cecilia Church does not qualify one to be eligible to be a godparent and/or a sponsor.
Carta de padrino para el Bautismo y la Confirmación:
Para obtener una carta de elegibilidad de la Parroquia de Santa Cecilia, debe hacer lo siguiente:
- Son miembros registrados y participantes activos de una Parroquia Católica durante por lo menos seis (6) meses.
- Tienen 16 años de la edad o mayor.
- Tienen que ser bautizados, y tener la primera comunión y confirmación en la iglesia católica.
- Su unión (si esta casado) se debe haber celebrado de acuerdo con las normas y la ley sacramentales del canon de la iglesia, casado por la iglesia católica, no un matrimonio civil.
- Tienen que vivir su fe con la participación regular en la misa de cada domingo, viviendo una vida de acuerdo con las ensenanzas de la iglesia católica, especialmente en respetar la fe, moral y la caridad.
- El padrino debe tener el formulario de elegibilidad adecuado completado y firmado por su párroco.
- Tenga en cuenta que haber realizado todos los Sacramentos en la Iglesia de Santa Cecilia no califica a uno ser elegible para ser padrino y/o patrocinador.
Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to do complete the registration for my child?
In order for a registration to be completed, you will need to fill out a registration form (at the office or online registration), submit a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate (birth certificate if not baptized) and payment of $85 for one child. After July 17, 2023, a late-fee will apply for all registrations.
What does my registration fee cover?
Your registration fee covers all the expenses for the use of the school building, cost of books for the classes and supplemental resources for the classes. The registration fee starts at $85 for one child and additional $10 for each child in the same household.
We are going through a financial struggle due to the pandemic. Is there way to financial assistance or make a payment plan?
No child will be denied receiving classes due to economical hardship. Please reach out to the Faith Formation Director, in order to arrange a meeting where the circumstances of the situation can be discussed further.
We are also seeking a few more volunteers to be part of our catechetical team (catechists, catechists aides, outreach volunteers) If a parent is willing to be part of the team and meet the requirements, we will waive the registration fee for their children. Please reach out to the Faith Formation Director for more information.
My child received special education at school. Will there be a way to accommodate my child to class?
No child will be left out of receiving a Sacrament. Please communicate what learning needs your child has during registration so that the director of Faith Formation, can reach out and speak to you.
How can I register online?
Unfortunately we do not have online registration for the year of 2023-2024
Will a Spanish class still be offered for those students who only speak Spanish and/or just learning English?
Yes, we will be offering a Spanish class during the same time as the other classes.
How will classes be organized for this year?
Classes will be held in person on Sundays from 9 AM – 10:20 AM. Classes will be every Sunday this year.
Does my child still need to attend Mass as part of the program?
The Holy Mass is the most powerful prayer that we have in our faith. We encourage all families to attend Mass on Sundays and on Holy Days of Obligation. This year all students will be attend with their class unless otherwise requested by the parents in written form.

Registración para la Formación de Fe (Catecismo) para este año ya está abierto. Todas las clases serán presencial domingos de 9am-10:20am. Por favor pasen por la oficina (lunes-sábado de 9am-12pm o los domingos de 10am-1:30pm) para registrar a sus hijos. Si tienen otras preguntas, por favor contactarse la directora de Formación de Fe.
Preguntas Frecuentes
¿Qué tengo que hacer para completar la registración para mi hijo?
Para completar la registración, tendrás que llenar el formulario de registración (en la oficina o online), darnos una copia del certificado de bautismo (certificado de nacimiento si su hijo no tiene bautizo) y el pago de $85 por un hijo. Después del 17 de julio, el costo de registración es $25 adicional.
¿Qué cubre el pago de registración?
Tu pago de registración cubre todos los gastos de por el uso de la escuela, los costo de los libros y recursos suplementales para las clases. El costo de registración empieza a $85 por un niño, $95 por dos niños o $100 por tres niños del mismo hogar.
Nosotros estamos teniendo dificultades financieras por la pandemia. ¿Hay una asistencia financiera o plan de pago?
Ningún niño será negado a recibir las clases por dinero. Por favor contacten a la directora de Formación de Fe para tener una cita para hablar más.

Cómo serán organizadas las clases de este año?
Las clases serán presenciales todo los domingos de 9am-10:20am.
Mi niño tiene que asistir a la Santa Misa como parte del programa?
La Santa Misa es la oración más poderosa que tenemos en nuestra fe. Este año todos los estudiantes asistaran la Misa con la clase. Los estudiantes tambien necesitan asistir misa los días santos de precepto. Si desean que sus hijos que asistan a otra misa, necesitamos algo escrito de los padres. Por favor vean el horario para la Misa:
